Chinese collaborative robot company JAKA raised 1 billion RMB

On 2022 July 20, the Chinese collaborative robot manufacturer, JAKA Robotics, announced that it has completed series D financing equivalent to about 1 billion RMB. The investment was jointly led by Temasek, True Light, SoftBank Vision Fund Phase II and Saudi Aramco's diversified venture capital fund Prosperity7 Ventures.



In 2021, JAKA Robotics has successively completed C rounds and C+ rounds of financing. A single C round financing amounted to 300 million yuan, a record high in the industry at that time. After the completion of this round of financing, JAKA Robotics has become the company with the largest number of financing rounds and the largest financing scale in the field of collaborative robots.


Li Mingyang, founder of JAKA Robotics, said that he hopes to accelerate the improvement of global marketing channels and service networks through this financing, and to be closer to global customers.

Different from large-scale industrial robots, collaborative robots are small in size, flexible in deployment, and high in safety. They can safely interact and directly interact with humans in an unstructured environment, without the need for an independent working space for large-scale industrial robots. This also makes collaborative robots more flexible and intelligent, suitable for more human-machine collaboration scenarios. In 2021, the domestic sales of collaborative robots is around 15,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 45.7%.


JAKA Robotics was established in 2014 and is currently the leading company in the field of collaborative robots. Its products can face different scenarios in different industries. Up to now, JAKA Robotics has accumulated a large number of practical cases in handling, palletizing, machining, testing, screw locking and other scenarios, and in the 3C and semiconductor industries with higher precision requirements, it is used in buzzer detection, PCB Soldering, dispensing, substrate and SMT process, etc., help enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency.


JAKA Robotics is also a global supplier to Toyota. At present, Jieka Robot has more than 3,000 customers and has deployed more than 10,000 robots.
